Very annoyed now.
Felicia Day - pout
[info]townbros
Okay, I finally got word on when closing will take place.
I have to be completely moved out of the house by Thursday.

Um, what?
Gee, thanks for the notice.

Did a rush to start the apartment lease, and it won't be ready until Oct 8th.
DOH!
I really wish they gave us notice that they would pull something like this.
I would have started the lease process last week and probably gotten the apartment I wanted.
They didn't have what I want anymore by this week.

Now I am going to have to move things into storage and live in a motel for a few weeks.
Going to have very spotty internet connection access as a result.

I so sick of this entire process.

Felicia Day - Joyful
[info]townbros
I am totally obsessing over Felicia Day now.

I have seen all episodes of seasons 1 and 2 of "The Guild." I am just waiting for season 3 episodes to start moving from the Xbox to their website now.
http://www.watchtheguild.com/

I got the 720P HD version of "The Guild - Do You Wanna Date My Avatar.'
I am gobbling up whatever I can find on the internet about Felicia Day.

One of my ulterior motives is that this would also be a way back into doing film/TV.
Yes, I studied the art of film making when I was in college.
Did I totally suck at it? Yup, I bombed badly. Hence why it has been since the mid-90s I did anything with my degree.

But this do it yourself web show thing could actually work.
Been talking with Izzy, who has done some wildly successful student films when she was in college. We are attempting to brainstorm some ideas.
We are both now studying these web shows including "The Guild" ... for inspiration.

But behold the power of the Felicia Day crush.
Posting the music video "The Guild - Do You Wanna Date My Avatar."
Followed up with an amazing behind the scenes video shoot of the Felicia Day headshot shoot done by the Bui Brothers.

What I Did This Summer - Part 1
Being Human - Vampire Porn
[info]townbros
Wow. I haven't done an entry here for a while.
I blame Facebook. I am on that every day, playing those games.

I bought a new car a few weeks back - 2010 Honda Insight LX.
The Facebook peeps have seen the photo of the new car. :D

I also started in on some TV series I was saving up and watching during the summer months.

I'll go ahead and devote some entries to the winners and losers.

48 hours of nothing but Grey's
TB
[info]townbros
Now that the TV seasons are over, it is now time to do some TV marathons.

I just watched the current entire season of Grey's Anatomy within 48 hours.
After suffering through 5 to 6 episodes of uninspired episodes, this season turned up the heat and became an amazing season to watch.
I absolutely loved it.

Your cheat sheet review:
Hunt and Yang. Lurid and haunting.
Mark and Lexie. Adorable and quirky.
Callie and Arizona make such a cute couple.
Chief. 12, dude? Seriously, you are upset over being number 12? Get a life.
Izzie and Denny. Creeeeee-py.
I don't see Bailey as a ped surgeon.
Shepard's shadow. I love that, dude, Jack. Or Jim. Or John. Or Whatever.
Intern love triangle. Best plot reveal in the entire series.
Meredith and the organ donor liver. Plop! OMG.
Hunt in bed with Yang. Super OMG to the infinity max.
And will the Chief stop running his mouth off about how he feels responsible for Meredith's upbringing and that is the reason why he is acting like a father to her. Just get the blood test done and do the grand super reveal that you are actually the real father. Let's get it over with.

I knew there was a shocking twist ending of the season finale, but I didn't know what it was. I was good about avoiding spoilers.
One of my best internet friends, Izzy, was rendered speechless, by the Grey's finale.

And then, I changed that speechlessness with her to disgust for me when she found out I figured out the shock ending on my own within 15 minutes into the season finale, unlike her and everyone else who only realized it in the last 5 minutes.
I actually thought the shock ending was predictable, but apparently that was just me.

Join my Vampire Wars clan!
Being Human - Vampire Porn
[info]townbros
Hope everyone has had a nice Easter.

My mother actually came into town and turned my world upside down on how to clean a house properly. I am trying to ready my house for sell.
My mother is a wise, WISE woman. I am shocked at what she can make look brand new on only using the proper cleaning technique.
This might actually work.. I might actually have a presentable house for sale. HA! It's going to be far cleaner and look better than when my brother and I bought this place.
I adore my mother.

I have fallen prey to the Facebook side of the social networking force.
I used to check Livejournal on a regular daily basis, but now I am checking Facebook daily.
It's because of the shared gaming communities Facebook tries to promote.
I have gotten interested in a simplistic RPG called "Vampire Wars."
From there I have used "Vampire Wars" as an excuse to add strangers on to build up the number of my clan in "Vampire Wars."
The larger the clan, the more powerful you are in the game.
I am now at 126 "friends" on Facebook.
But unlike the Myspace account I have where I got to 224 friends by adding every publicity crazy artist and now is basically an excuse to let me know who is on tour and when, my main friend update page for Facebook is filled with fascinating tidbits of people's everyday lives.
It makes for a much better read. And it's totally distracting me.
But it does mean I am checking Livejournal less and less now.

If you have a Facebook account, FRIEND ME!
*Ahem* Join my vampire wars clan, and let us rule the dark underworld together! Muhahahaha!

Meme: Marry, shag, push off a cliff
TB
[info]townbros
MeMe time!
I was tagged by [info]be_my_constant .
It's the classic question of who would you want to shag, marry, or push off a cliff
from a predetermined choice of three people.

The choices given to me are Juliet Burke, Cheryl Cole, and Toshiko Sato. )

If you want to be tagged for this MeMe, comment to the entry. Specify if you want male, female, or mixed choices.
I will provide you with three choices and you can decide who you want to shag, marry, or push off a cliff.

What a fantastic day!
TB
[info]townbros
Oh man, I am having a very NICE day.
It's a nice, warm Spring day and I get to open the windows to my house.
I love the smell of fresh air.
It's going to make today's walk in the local park so freaking fantastic.

Also ...
I found a way to play with my ignored MySpace account.
I read an article that made a sarcastic remark that the real joy of social networking sites is just seeing how many friends you can add.
Well, okay. If you say so. Let me experiment with that and see if there is a way to do just that.
I am having fun with the fact that it is so easy to build up your number of "friends" with MySpace and the fact that MySpace is such a hot and heavy tool for music promotion. I am adding singers to my friend list right and left. So many singers have automatic settings to immediately accept your friend request.
FOOLS! Muhahahaha!
As of this entry, I am up to 119 "friends."
... and still counting.
LOL!
Yes, I am going to have to agree that collecting "friends" has a certain charm to it.

I am also starting to get MySpace friend requests from singers I have never heard about. Most likely it is bots trolling friend lists of other artists and sending automatic friend requests to people.
The only problem for me so far is that it seems people are no longer able to "befriend" Lily Allen. Which means I can't get Lily Allen on my friend list.
Whatever.
I don't need your love anyway, Lily. *Sniff*

Kevin Federline Looking to Start Kids Fashion Line

Given the state of economy, Kevin Federline can't fathom throwin' down $200 for phat True Religion jeans for his boyz, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

So, according to a Women's Wear Daily report, he wants to start a children's clothing line - and is in talks with Gerard Guez about a licensing deal.

Are you serious?

Dollhouse, Chuck, Eliza Dushku, Joss Whedon, and 218 ... LEGENDARY!
TB
[info]townbros
Thank God Dollhouse delivered the goods.
Joss Whedon is an amazing writer.
"Dollhouse" is my new fav show now and I am rekindling my crush on Eliza Dushku.

Also, I added an animated "Chuck" mood theme to the site because I love that show and someone actually made a mood theme for a show I like that was animated. I love animated mood themes.
I also added some more icons.
I got tired of the fact that I never seemed to want to use half of the icons I had already. They looked pretty but just never seemed to match any moods of any entries I posted or commented on.

I am also getting a little bit more active into facebook.
My first major complaint is that e-mail messaging system though.
It's like if you write more than a few paragraphs then it freaks out and sucks in your browsers memory.
I mean, the type of memory hog where your web browser seizes up the PC for over 5 minutes to add one sentence typed and eventually just totally crashes out in the process.
THAT .. IS ... UNACCEPTABLE.

I have now taken chicken out of my diet a week ago and I have just used up the last of the fish in the freezer.
Vegetarian diet, here I come!

Anyways, Viva la Dollhouse

Holy Cow! This is really going to work.
TB
[info]townbros
I am a little surprised that I tend to enjoy going on personal research projects.
I can be so nerdy. Just who researches for the fun of it?

For example, I can get lost looking up the Spanish-American war because I wanted to know what early American/Cuban relations were like.
Or, I will spend hours looking up prices on Toyota Prius or Honda Fit car prices wondering if I can get a very good deal using the poor economic times to my advantage.

My pet research project of the moment is looking into a vegetarian diet.

I always admired vegetarians.
I am also becoming more and more obsessed with the food I eat since I am trying to lose a massive amount of weight. A vegetarian diet would really help me out with that.

I didn't think I would go far in my research and that I would be discouraged easily, but the opposite became true. And now, I am quite pleasantly surprised by everything I am finding out.

Celeb Crush Update - Lenora Crichlow
TB
[info]townbros
Crush time!
I am totally into Lenora Crichlow of the BBC 3 series "Being Human" now.
It's a show about a werewolf, a vampire, and a ghost living together in an apartment.
I watched the singular test pilot the BBC 3 shown last year, and rather liked it.
The critical review was enough on that single show that it got approval for an entire TV series.
This time it is back with sharper writing and replacement actors for the vampire and ghost roles - much better actors.
What you get in return now is an excellent show exploring what it means to live and exist as a human being, seen through the alienated eyes of people who used to be human but still try to lead normal lives.

I do not celebrate the American holiday of Super Bowl Sunday
GiGi - Huh?
[info]townbros
Seriously, when is "Dollhouse" going to premiere?
This show really needs to get on the air fast.

I have now changed my LJ site to a "Dollhouse" theme in anticipation of the show coming in a few weeks.

I do hope FOX doesn't screw the show over like "Firefly."

I really need to get my crush on for Eliza Dushku again, as well.

I have also been in movie mode this week.

I saw Australia, Bolt, Frost/Nixon, and Revolutionary Road.

Keep in mind that my appreciation for movies has diminished quite a bit in recent years.

Australia seemed like a cross between "Titanic" and "Pearl Harbor." I am surprised I don't want to talk more about the movie.
The movie exists to make Hugh Jackman look cool. That pretty much summed up the movie for me.

Is it just me, or does the "fake" TV show that the movie Bolt is centered on seem more interesting than the real movie storyline?
I would totally watch a show about a dog with a Super Bark. ADORABLE!

Frost/Nixon was interesting in a documentary sort of fashion.
Although, I think it's absurd to think Frank Langella could pull off portraying Nixon. I never once believed he was playing the fallen president.

Revolutionary Road was uncomfortable and haunting, but I would hesitate calling it a "good" movie for me. If you like Sam Mendes movies, this will not disappoint. I find his movies rather offensive, so there you go.
I do, however, want to see if I can track down a copy of Richard Yates book for this and see if I can study the narrative. I have already read the "cliff notes" version reviews of the book and I find the symbolism fascinating and the prose excerpts that I have read to have this interesting mix of simplicity and elegance. I want to see if there is something I can learn from how the book is put together.
